What a terrific albeit outrageously preposterous hoot of an Action SciFi thrill ride this is! Cowboys & Aliens is a cute, crowd pleasing movie. Think “Aliens” mashed up with ”Independence Day” delivered on the Wild Wild West set of “Open Range”, and Cowboys & Aliens succeeds so well because of the huge screen presence of Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and the oh so beautiful Olivia Wilde all taking the story so seriously. This is more fun than good, but good regardless, as attested by the moderate size audience of 200 or so who expressively enjoyed LOL together at various points in the action. Safe for Mom & Dad, who will probably like it too. Because of some violence and scant attire (I don’t recall any real nudity) I’d say minimum age for my children to watch would be 13.

Captain America
What a nice surprise how entertaining and fun this movie was when Chris & I dropped in to see it on a lark; a solid 8.5 out of 10 in entertainment factor. It’s probably the second sleeper of the summer– a SciFi action movie romance masquerading as a preposterous, incredibly not believable faux military WWII story about the fictitious superhero. The matinee was surprisingly full, and while it wasn’t continuous laughter, many in the crowd obviously did enjoy this movie, as did Chris & I. Not seeing much room left for a sequel built into it, and the ending was kind of sad the way they just killed off Haly Atwell’s character Peggy out of the blue but, hey! Looking forward to seeing alot more of her radiant beauty in future flicks. Safe for Mom & Dad and my children when 12 and older.

Harry Potter – On Deathly Hallows 2…
…is a 10 out of 10! The best of the Harry Potter series; a superbly fine, thrilling, artfully crafted event for the conclusion of the 10 year Potter yarn that my children have grown up with that I’ve learned to love as much as they! This installment will endear you to Harry, Hermione, Ron, and all their friends, family, and legacy. Safe for viewing with Mom & Dad and any of my kids when they were 12 or older.

Click here to brush up before the Deathly Hallows 2 finale
Tonight begins the end of an era our kids have grown up with. Remember in Half Blood Prince how Snape killed Dumbledore? I think it was faked because Snape’s alliance was never really clear, and I’m thinking tonight in Deathly Hallows 2, Snape could be the surprise that saves Harry, and I won’t be surprised if Ron gets killed off either.

SYTYCD
Alisha's time was past and I agree the fella sent home last night never pushed it to the edge except for his solos, but its taken me 8 seasons to realize the viewers are inconstant w their commitment to the show as evidenced by their voting habits as to where the best talent exists when comparing SYTYCD to IDOL.Oh, I picked Ryan as the Season 8 Winner first time I saw her dance but if she ends up in the bottom 3 one more time, I’ll be wrong cause she’ll be gone.
